Since my college days, studying British Literature, and having the wonderful privilege of studying in Cambridge, I fell in love with the British afternoon tea. Lovely delicate china, hot tea and scones, and glimpses into the beauty of language and poetry. Have a cup of tea with me; butter a scone; add on fresh Devonshire cream and poetically read Keats, or Browning, or Wordsworth.
I love Victorian tea parties...the tea and crumpets, lashings of Devonshire cream, lemon curd and scones. Mmmm. In true Victorian style, I've created a tea party cluster pendant necklace to bedeck your favorite tea party ensemble.
Tiny pewter charms (tea bag, tea cup and Eiffel tower) are evocative of romance and dreams from far away. I wired in a blue and white china bead to tie in the colors and added tiny Sapphire czech glass crystals. Necklace measures 30 inches to the pendant and then falls an addition 3 inches.
Stones are light reflecting pale Sapphire blue Preciosa czech glass and Swarovski pearls. Charms are lead and nickel free pewter and will maintain their color. Chain is antiqued silver plated brass soldered link and is quite durable. Hammered link is antiqued silver plated steel. Clasp is surgical steel. Chain is finished adjacent to the lobster clasp with more pears and crystals for a feminine touch.
