Tulips originated around China and by the 12the century, Persian plant growers were breeding the bulbs. and the flowers were introduced to Europe in the 1500s. The word tulip comes from the Turkish word for gauze--the same material with which the Turks wrapped their heads.
One of the symbolic meanings of white tulips is Purity and Innocence, no wonder they are a favorite wedding flower. White Tulips also represent Forgiveness.
So today I bring you The White Tulip---an antiqued copper tulip crowns a 10mm white shell pearl. The tulip is topped by a sparkling clear Swarovski crystal. I hung the pendant from an antiqued copper ring and 27 inches of antiqued copper chain. The total length is 29 inches. Chain is finished adjacent to the lobster clasp with tiny faceted czech glass crystals for a feminine touch.
You'll want this neutral addition to complement any outfit. I've worn mine with skinny jeans, a any color t-shirt and a draped shrug.
