When I moved to Cleveland TN to study English literature at college back in the (very) early 90s one of my favorite things was to slip down to Gardner's market for a spot of tea. Satisfying with a good book. Especially lovely if joined by a friend. We'd sip tea from china cups, nibble freshly baked scones slathered with lemon curd and clotted cream and be caught up in the romance of Victorian days. I take my tea creamy with a dot of raw sugar. Some of my friends prefer the darker, stronger brews unadorned by addends. Tea for Two reminded me of cascading tea in all it's shades of reddish brown, cream and raw sugar, of friendship and antiquities, of romance and memory.
