Here's a re-run from June! It's Thanksgiving time and I was looking for my mom's pie recipe. Good thing I put it online last year!
Can't get enough of my favorite Thanksgiving holiday pie! This pie is seriously the most amazing pie ever. In fact, I think so much of my mom's pie that I've included the recipe here for you too!
Necklace is double layers of soft spicy orange pumpkin mother of pearl shell, sparkly czech crystal glass...18 to 20 inches. SOLD
Pumpkin Chiffon Pie
1 cup pumpkin
3 eggs separated
1/2 cup sugar
1 cup milk
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
2 tbsp butter
1 envelope of gelatin dissolved in 1/4 cup warm water
1/4 sugar for egg whites (beat egg whites and add in sugar to make a meringue)
Cook first seven until they thicken
After thickening add butter and gelatin mixture
Stir until dissolved
Fold in meringue
Pour into a baked pie crust and chill in refrigerator.
To serve top with fresh whipped cream! Delicious
