Arctic Circle

Pure, ice reflecting light. I'm an ice cruncher! But not just any ice. My favorite is the ice that's so clear you can see through it, like a large lump of crystal. I love rock crystal. It's a genuine gemstone that has been polished to a shiny. It has a translucent quality not found in glass and I feel close to the creation. There are those who will assign a mystical dimension to crystal, but I'm not sure how much of that I believe. All I know is, I like it.

Clear, genuine rock crystal finished with silver elements. 16" long with a 2" extender chain. $31 Necklace, $7 Earrings

Aloha SOLD

Aloha. in Hawaiian means peace, love, compassion and mercy. In English it now also refers to hello and goodbye. My brother named this necklace. He loves Hawaii, especially the island of Kauai where he's vacationed from time to time. He dreams of endless blue water, rolling surf, and island music bringing a melody to his heart as he sips juice from coconuts. Aloha reminded him of a lei with it's petal like and blue water stones.

Yeah, going on vacation

I woke up this morning with a heart of expectancy! After church this morning we're piling in the van and hitting the road for our annual vacation in Bodega Bay where we kick back at my grandmother's beach cabin. It's a t-shirt and jeans kind of place where no one cares if you even comb your hair. I'm bring some beads with me and I'll be scouting for inspiration! More great beaded ideas to come.

If you want to place an order please email me with your request. However I won't be able to process any orders until I return.

Eclipse by Kristi SOLD

Kristi created some new pieces for the collection. She started reading Twilight series this year, so this word evokes memories for her. In the non-fiction world...when the moon moves through the Earth's outer shadow, the penumbra, and enters Earth's darker, inner shadow, we experience a lunar eclipse. Transfixed. Illusive. Eternity seems to stop in a moment.

Perhaps not as dark, our Eclipse, features a full moon of brown mother of pearl shell surrounded by a string of stabilized turquoise stones. 20" long and finished with a copper lobster claw clasp.

Happy Housewife SOLD

Flip through vintage magazines from the 1950s and you'll recognize these colors! An age of prosperity, middle-class America, and the ideal housewife. My grandmother is a reflection of this era. She raised her five children in the suburbs of Denver and made time to socialize with her neighborhood friends. I know some women will say they were "repressed" during this generation, but from her stories, I believe she was content.

I love the cheery orange blended with white and turquoise blue. But the antiqued silver pendant with the friendly birds perched on a wire is the pièce de résistance. Bring on the vintage me!

16" long with a 2" extender chain, composed of white stone teardrops, orange and blue dyed turquoises. Necklace $29, Earrings $9 SOLD

Peanut Butter Banana Shake SOLD

Back in the 80s my parents moved us from one part of Texas into the deep east Texas piney woods. As usual my siblings and I were excited about the relocation. Last Days Ministries (Keith Green) had their headquarters in this region as did several other cutting edge (at the time) Christian singers and mission-orient organization such as YWAM. On one of the properties was a restaurant and they served Peanut Butter Banana Milkshakes. I had never heard of them before. I recall trying to wrap my mind around any flavor that surpassed the ubiquitous vanilla, strawberry or vanilla, standard fare at most shake joints. And it's not that I even liked them, peanut butter and banana both being somewhat lower on the totem pole of appealing flavors; it was the juxtaposition of novelties. I did fall in love, with the music of Keith Green, though. A fan to this day!

16" long with a 2" extender chain, creaming dyed magnesite stones, champagne crystal glass, coconut heishi, and an eye-catching hippyesque coconut pendant. $31 Necklace, $9 Earrings

Pistachio SOLD

In the south, pistachio was something one said after a violent sneeze! My first exposure to the tasty little nut was when I visited California as a child (love at first sight). Later, people would talk about pistachio ice cream, but as that time, and mostly through today, I am not fond of nuts in my ice cream. But I sure enjoy working my way through a bowl of salted pistachios while lounging on the back patio.

16" long and finished with a copper toggle clasp, Pistachio is composed of green turquoise teardrops and barrels, crystal glass, and a stunning copper pendant. Necklace, SOLD

Sweet pink turquoise and a touch of crystal glass complemented by antiqued silver. 16" long plus a 2" extender chain.
