Dark Chocolate Covered Cherries

At Christmas I used to love devouring a box of chocolate covered cherries, you know the kind found in most chain stores. The cherries are nestled in little crinkly brown plastic nests. I'm ashamed to admit how many I could put down in one sitting. I've never been much of a milk chocolate fan so when the darker chocolate versions emerged, boy oh boy did my mouth sing anthems of praise. Concocted of dark red fossil stone, buri roots, smoky quartz helix crystal glass and finished with a rectangular antiqued silver clasp. $19

Poison Apple SOLD

Snow white was lead astray by the evil queen's poison apple. It must have been a particularly tempting piece of fruit. We're not sure what fruit Satan tempted Eve with in the Garden of Eden from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil but legend has it that it, too, was an apple. Avoid temptation by wearing Poison Apple on your wrist as a visual reminder that not everything that glitters is gold. Or simply look great with a statement piece which complements turquoise, denim, and black. Chunks of genuine dark red coral, rock crystal and finished with a toggle clasp.

Hibiscus SOLD

In the late 60s my mother avoided the hippy revolution by spending her post-college years as an English teacher in Papua New Guinea. As children we loved pouring through her cedar-lined trunk, swaying our hips with her grass skirts, playing dress-up with the beaded necklaces and fingering the bones natives often wore in their noses for formal occasions. She told us that unmarried girls would wear a Hibiscus flower behind one of their ears (right, I think), then upon marriage switched them to the opposite ear. Fascinating.

I'm not suggesting you wear this necklace behind your ears, but you'll feel young, hip and beautiful with these pink turquoise stones and genuine coconut shell pendant and heishi beads. Looks great with a summer sundress or crisp white t-shirt. 16" to the pendant plus a 2" extender chain. SOLD

Vintage Cola SOLD

I was raised in southeast Texas in the 70s. A distinct childhood memory was walking into town along a dusty road and stopping along the way for an ice cold bottle of Coca Cola fresh from the dispenser machine. No cans here. As I'd tip back the frosty bottle you could see the green glass bottom, sometimes with little bubbles from where air had been trapped in the glass during the manufacturing process. Ah, refreshing. Although I rarely drink soda now, I remain nostalgic for genuine Cola in old fashioned bottles.

Today's feature is Vintage Cola. I was drawn to the cola-green glass and cola brown coconut shell discs. These colors represent a fond memory. SOLD
